President: Iran Ready to Broaden Ties with Oman in All Fields – Politics news

In a meeting with Omani Interior Minister Hamoud bin Faisal bin Said al-Busaidi, held in Tehran on Monday, Pezeshkian hailed the deep-rooted and cordial relations between Iran and Oman.

He said the bilateral ties have always been based on brotherhood, mutual respect, and goodwill, and that the two neighbors have consistently stood by each other through regional challenges.

Pezeshkian also expressed appreciation for Oman’s constructive regional role, noting that Muscat’s efforts, especially in mediation and hosting negotiations between Tehran and Washington, are commendable and reflect the Omani leadership’s wise and peace-seeking approach.

Referring to Oman’s clear stance in supporting the oppressed people of Gaza and condemning the crimes committed by the Zionist regime, Pezeshkian said that such a humane and Islamic position is highly valuable. He expressed gratitude for Oman’s compassion and solidarity, stating that if all Islamic countries had supported the people of Gaza with similar resolve, the region would not be witnessing such tragic events.

Pezeshkian further expressed hope that the Omani interior minister’s visit to Tehran would strengthen the bonds and cooperation between the two countries.

He reaffirmed that Iran is fully prepared to expand its cooperation with Oman in all areas—scientific, economic, cultural, social, and political—and expressed confidence that this visit would help advance bilateral relations even further.

For his part, the Omani interior minister described the relations with Iran as exceptional, historical, deeply sincere, and free of any ambiguity.

He referred to Pezeshkian’s visit to Muscat five months earlier and the valuable agreements reached during that trip as evidence of the bright path of cooperation between the two nations.

The Omani minister commended the Iranian president’s approach to strengthening relations with the Islamic countries, particularly Oman, noting that this constructive attitude has been a consistent feature of Iran’s policy over past decades.

The minister emphasized that Oman will continue to pursue this path with the same spirit of brotherhood and goodwill, expressing hope that the strong and distinguished ties between the two countries will persist with even greater determination and energy.
