Preparations Made for Iran’s Endurance against Cyberattacks – Politics news
Major General Mostafa Izadi, commander of the Cyber and Modern Threats Base at Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters, said on Tuesday that responsibilities have been divided among key organizations tasked with countering cyber threats to Iran’s infrastructure.
He stated that measures have been devised to detect, neutralize, and manage enemy cyberattacks before, during, and after their occurrence, adding that contingency plans are in place even for scenarios where a specific institution may fail to address a threat.
The general noted that efforts are focused on enhancing the cyber defense capabilities of various organizations and institutions.
He added that cyber networks and infrastructures in sectors such as banking, energy, and transportation must possess high levels of security and resilience.
According to the commander, Iran aims to achieve a global standard of strength and preparedness in withstanding cyber threats.
Major General Izadi added that, in addition to the defense industries, knowledge-based companies have also made significant progress in the cyber field.
Relevant institutions, he said, are now utilizing these companies’ expertise to reinforce the country’s cyber defense system.
